About Siobhan

Hello! My name is Siobhan and I use she/her pronouns. I have been a therapist for the past 3 years but I have been working in the social work field with youth and families for over 10 years now! Thank you for exploring my page, I hope you find what you are looking for here.

Education

Professional Experience

Over the past 10 years I have worked in a variety of positions within the social work field, more than half of which was in family policing in New York City. I have worked with individuals with Intellectual and Development Disabilities and college age students with urgent mental health needs. For the last three years I have also taught social work related courses in the CUNY system. I am passionate about the work that I do and love fostering connections by creating accessible and caring environments where everyone feels heard, respected, and valued.

In My Free Time

When I'm not working I love grabbing a lavender matcha latte from my local coffee shop and browsing bookstores with my partner. Every morning I wake up early and spend an hour or two cuddled up with my two cats reading -- I love non-fiction and fiction! This is my favorite way to care for myself :)

Siobhan is sitting cross legged with her hands by her feet. She is wearing grey and black hiking clothing and a blue back pack. She is mid laugh with her hair blowing in her face. She is sitting on a wooden bridge over a rocky river. There is lush greenery visible in the background.

I acknowledge that I live and work as a settler on Lënapehòkink land, the ancestral and unsurrendered territory of the Lënape people, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
